Knocksink, Enniskerry Wonderful Wildflower Walk, March 2025

In early March 2025 I lead a walk in one of my favourite woodlands, Knocksink woods in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. Enniskerry Tidy Towns and Enniskerry Biodiversity Action Plan invited me to show them the spring flowers and trees in bud around this SAC (Special Area of Conservation) woodland. Among others, we spotted the first of the Early Dog Violet, Wood Anemone, Primrose, Opposite-leaved Golden Saxifrage and excitingly, a Wych Elm just starting to flower.
